Since the beginning of 2000 more than 80 business and buildings have changed in ownership and tenancy.  A public art center with galleries and studios that is open 6 days a week is the hub of activity.   Full and part-time galleries and studios are open mostly Wed -- Saturday (some on Sundays) and on Third Friday.  The"Village on High" is home to 10 unique buildings (each 192 sq. ft.) with new galleries, artisan workshops, and boutiques.  This Village is open and may have lease space.

     Shops and boutiques that now welcome visitors include antiques, unique gift items, clothing, art glass, ceramics, print art and giclees.  Salons, a day spa and women's fitness center are a part of the pulse of the downtown.

     Restaurants flourish in the Glasstown Arts District.  Regular clientele and tourists can enjoy Sushi and Chinese, fine dining in the atmosphere of a restored early 20th century building, organic and gourmet sandwiches, salads and a coffee bar, pizza or submarine sandwiches, pub-style platters and sandwiches with a wide selection of brews, delicate pastries and bakery items, and traditional American fare in a "diner" atmosphere.
