Arts, Crafts, Music & Vegan Festival

The Glasstown Arts District and Wildflower early vegan fare have joined together to present a day of fun activities for the entire family on Saturday, September 12. High Street from Broad to Main Streets will be filled with sidewalk displays by both galleries, shops, artists, crafters, and musicians from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. Whether youre interested in hunting for collectibles, bargains, original art or hand-crafted artisan work; you will find it. From 6 till 8 p.m., stop by the Village on High for the monthly 2nd Saturday Wine Tasting. This months selection of wines will be vegan. Your hosts Mike and Maryann Kuntz of An Octopuss Garden welcome you to enjoy this experience. To make the day more unique and exciting a Vegan Festival will include educational and fun booths on the Glasstown Plaza, on the sidewalks and at the Village on High from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m. The festival is first of its kind in Southern New Jersey. VegStock will immerse participants in a positive and dynamic educational experience entailing Speakers, Cooking Demonstrations, Art, Music, and interactive resources for Health and Fitness. Free of charge and open to the general public, VegStock inspires vegan living and provides tools to thrive as healthy, active, and connected vegans. Nutrition experts Christine Scalfo, Patrecia Schwailik-Giunta, and Melissa Maly will provide live food preparation demonstrations in conjunction with Food for Living, Creating a New You, and Heart Beet Kitchen. Scholars and activists Anne Dinshah, Karen Davis, Lee Hall, Mary Finelli, Janine Motta, Dara Lovitz, and Leila Vaughan, representing the American Vegan Society, United Poultry Concerns, Vegan Place, Fish Feel, Animal Protection League of New Jersey, and Peace Advocacy Network will host discussions on human relationships with other animals. Health and fitness aficionados Katy Glahfia, Justine Carmine, and Nicole Beddow will bring the rejuvenative practice of Yoga to the streets, and offer insights for cultivating personal vitality and balance. High Street will be immersed in the beautiful original musical stylings of Steve Kuzma, PTP, Trillium, Marinda's Castle, Bob White, Joe Merlino, Sitar Bob, and Jumpin' Jamie and many makers of ethical wares including Ethical Apothecary, Grape Cat Compassion Fashion, Aura, and Compassion Co. will have product available.
