ARTIST PAULA PAGLIUGHI
Born in Vineland, New Jersey, I became interested in art in my teen years. I was 17 years old when I began taking classes in Millville, NJ with Pat Witt at the Barn Studio of Art. At that time, I learned my favorite medium was watercolor. After marrying and living in Dayton, Ohio for a year and Wilmington, Delaware for 3 years while my husband attended law school, I continued to attend art classes whenever and wherever I could find a class.
We moved back to Vineland and I became busy raising a family and working full time. Trying to find the time to paint became difficult. Now that my family is grown, about 7 years ago, I, once again, began taking classes. Though, I always enjoyed watercolors, I have learned through Bobbi Berg and Margaret Ricci, "the magic of acrylics," as Bobbi Berg always said. Three years ago I became a member of the Society of New Jersey Artists and Gallery 50 in Bridgeton. I have been in several shows in Vineland, Millville and Bridgeton.
Painting has become a passion. I seem to be inspired by my travels and my surroundings. I feel around every corner there is a painting waiting to happen. There is so much to see, you just have to look.
